AXS Film Fund is now open!
AXS Film Fund was founded to support documentary filmmakers and non-fiction new media creators living with disabilities, particularly those from historically underserved communities. Each year, AXS awards five creators with grants of up to $10,000 each to assist them in completing their projects in any stage of production.
An $500 application assistance stipend is available to help hire an assistant who would help you complete your application. Funds are limited and you must be pre-approved. Check out the information you need to send and send an email to FilmFund@axslab.org to request this.

Eligibility
- Applicants Eligibility
- Cannot be enrolled in a full-time degree granting program.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Should be individuals, not companies/organizations
- Encouraged that individuals with a disability should lead the projects
- Project Eligibility
- Must be nonfiction new media with a film/video component or a feature-length documentary (45+ mins)
- Can be in any stage of production
- Projects not in English must have subtitles.
