CymaSpace Arts and Accessibility Showcase Gala

Listen to this post:

Do you know about CymaSpace? CymaSpace is a Portland non-profit technology incubator that focuses on making cultural events inclusive for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. With their technology, they create art and performances focus on sound, light, and vibration. Neat!

This May, CymaSpace is hosting a big fundraiser gala event that looks like it will be an absolute feast for the senses.

Guests will be treated to their very own sound-reactive LED bracelet (while supplies last) and get to interact with their featured artist works.

Just some of the things you can expect at this event:

  • Play a sound-reactive LED piano
  • Experience what sound really “feels” and “looks” like
  • Witness an immersive fusion of American Sign Language with performance art
  • Use hands-on musical vibration to create beautifully marbled Cymatic paintings

Here’s their AudioLux One controller that translates sound and music into light, color, and movement! AudioLux one: a small silver box connected to a flexible strip covered in small, colored lights.
