The Disability Art and Culture Project (DACP) invites you to submit a short film to the second biennial Portland ReelAbilities Disability Film Festival to be held in Portland, Oregon, April-June 2018.

The Portland ReelAbilities Film Festival is a partnership between DACP and national film festival ReelAbilities. ReelAbilities is dedicated to sharing the stories, lives and art of people with disabilities. It consists of award-winning films of the highest cinematic and artistic quality and is hosted in cities across the country. We are excited to bring these films back to Portland!

Unlike other film festivals, all our films are captioned, and we provide Audio Description, ASL interpreters and CART (real-time captioning) at film showings.

Thank you to our partners: The Collins Foundation, The Oregon Community Foundation, and RACC.”

The images on the flyer are logos for ReelAbilities Portland, DACP, the three funders, and a photo by Nikki Lane from last year’s festival. That picture shows an audience in theater seats facing a red-carpeted stage. The flyer is mostly black with an array of decorative orange and red circles along the bottom.

Get on DACP’s mailing list, follow them on Facebook, and stay in the loop on this blog for info about when and where all the film showings will be. The committee is still hard at work making those details happen.
