“We went to pick pumpkins this fall, and I saw one that stuck out from the rest….

That’s kind of what I feel like; that’s what I feel our family is like.

We’re like the fish out of water. We don’t fit in.

We’re planted with a bunch of civilians.

And then there’s my husband who has a PTSD diagnosis and TBI, and we’re this military family.

That’s kind of how I feel, trying to blend in with the rest of the world.

It’s just carrying all…the flaws and everything. Just trying to keep afloat with everyone else.” by Rachel E., caregiver.
